About Fridays
Fridays is a season of ten Shabbat dinners in Santa Monica, California, held on consecutive Fridays from October 16 to December 18, 2026. Each dinner begins at candle-lighting and follows that week's Torah portion, and two fall on Chanukah. Guests attend by invitation or by approved application. Local businesses give the food, wine, bread, flowers and rooms, fund Fridays, or bring guests, and each Friday is named for the partners who made it. The host is Zackory. Press contact: va@yo-ur.com.

- 24 guests at one table each Friday, 240 across the season
- Candles
- From 6:00 pm on October 16 to 4:26 pm on December 4, 18 minutes before sunset. Clocks go back on November 1.
- Chanukah
- Two dinners fall on Chanukah: December 4 and December 11
- Guests
- By invitation or approved application. Each guest is approved by name.
- Partners
- Local businesses give food, wine, bread, flowers or rooms, fund a Friday or bring guests. A business is named only after it applies and is approved.
- Address
- Sent to confirmed guests 48 hours before dinner. It is not published.

Everyone at the table is invited by name, and every time is written down ahead, so people can hold us to it.

Zackory sets the table for all ten Fridays in Santa Monica, from the first candles on October 16 to the finale on December 18.
He reads every application himself and writes back within 2 days. Shabbat starts at sundown, and this fall a table in Santa Monica is set for it with room for people who have not been invited to one.
